Tanners Wines Wins Regional Chain of the Year Award

Local wine merchant Tanners Wines has won the prestigious Regional Chain of the Year award at the annual Drinks Retailing Awards ceremony held at The Dorchester in London.

The Shropshire-based company, which has branches throughout The Marches, beat strong competition from independent merchants in Oxford, Cambridge and Birmingham to secure the honour.

Judges praised the long-established merchant, noting: "Tanners has been selling fine wines and spirits since the mid-19th century – and its reputation remains undimmed almost 200 years later as it constantly reinvents itself to remain relevant to contemporary audiences."
