80s Comedy Bouncers Hits Shrewsbury This June 🎭

Shropshire Drama Company is hitting the road with Bouncers, John Godber’s sharp and funny 80s nightclub comedy – and it’s stopping in Shrewsbury on 21 June at The Hive.

The play follows four doormen who transform into a cast of colourful partygoers in a fast-paced, nostalgic night out. SDC’s short June tour also includes Ludlow, Montgomery, and Wem. Tickets are available via the SDC website.

Loopfest 2026: Tickets On Sale After Record Year 🎶

After drawing over 15,000 people across 40+ venues, Loopfest is back for 2026 and early bird tickets are already on sale.

Set for 2–3 May (with fringe events on 1 May), the Shrewsbury music festival continues to grow fast. Adult tickets start at £15 via ticketloop.co.uk.

🆕 Tom Anderson Joins the Ranks

Shrewsbury Town have made their first signing of the summer, bringing in defender Tom Anderson on a two-year deal from Doncaster Rovers.

The 31-year-old, who helped Doncaster win the League Two title this season, arrives with over 250 appearances under his belt.

He’ll officially join the club on July 1st as the they look to rebuild following relegation.

Shrewsbury Town Women: Matchday

Today is a big day for Shrewsbury Town Women as they take on Solihull Sporting.

Kick-off is scheduled for 2pm at John Henry Newman College (B37 5GA), with ticket prices set at £4 for adults and just £1 for concessions.
