Meet the Man Making Shrewsbury Shine

You’ve probably seen his work: John Edwards has quietly cleaned over 650 signs, bins, and phone boxes around Shrewsbury, tackling graffiti and stickers without fanfare or funding.

We met him in Coleham as he scrubbed down a graffiti-covered telephone box. With a Goldwing motorbike, cleaning products, and a lot of elbow grease, John’s made a visible difference across town and even earned a Mayor’s Award for his efforts.

Terry Christian Brings One-Man Show to Shrewsbury This July

Broadcaster and comedian Terry Christian is bringing his new one-man show to St Mary’s Church on Friday 11 July as part of this year’s Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival. The performance looks back at his time presenting 90s TV show The Word, sharing behind-the-scenes stories, rarely seen clips, and personal reflections. The evening will also include a Q&A session, giving audiences the chance to ask their own questions.
