Featured: Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival
Shrewsbury's International Comedy Festival returns for five days of outstanding live comedy from July 9-13.
This year's lineup brings together established headliners and exciting new talent across multiple venues throughout town.
Individual show tickets are still available for performances including Live at St Mary's, Ignacio Lopez, Mrs Smith, Stella Graham, Terry Christian, Frankie Munroe, Dave Chawner, Tony Law, Josh Jones, Sally-Anne Hayward, and Tez Ilyas.

Don't miss the special events throughout the week: A Comedy Tapas sessions and Political Brunch shows offer unique entertainment experiences alongside the main performances.
The festival concludes with the spectacular Gala Show on Sunday 13 July at Theatre Severn. MC Scott Bennett will host an incredible lineup featuring Abandoman, Tez Ilyas, QI's Cally Beaton, and the wonderfully eccentric Troy Hawke with his distinctive 1930s persona.

Feel-Good Happier Festival Comes to Flaxmill Maltings
Happier Festival arrives at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings on Saturday 26th July from 10am-4:30pm, promising a feel-good day celebrating creativity, community, and joyful living. This accessible event, created by Sian from dwtylife, offers the perfect opportunity to connect with local businesses and discover new crafts.
Your £9 general admission ticket includes access to curated local stalls, free Dye House activities like friendship bracelet making and screen printing, plus chill-out spaces and picnic areas. The day concludes with Sian's uplifting Closing Circle.
The lineup features over 30 local vendors including Snoop, Claypit, The Little Shop of Joy, Glory Goldsmith Flora, Moonsalt Jewellery, The Good Egg Bakery, Gelatistry, Sketch Club Severn, and many more wellness, craft, and food businesses. The Rural Remix Celebrates Shropshire's Film Culture
The Rural Remix brings a three-day celebration of rural cinema to Shropshire from 11-13 July across Old Market Hall in Shrewsbury, Ludlow Assembly Rooms, Wem Town Hall, and Wellington Orbit.
Local curators have selected films ranging from the hilarious Withnail & I to dystopian thriller 28 Years Later, plus tender farming tale Holy Cow and Oscar-winning animated feature Flow. Each screening takes place in historic venues where audiences can enjoy themed cocktails, mocktails, and local beers.
