CSONS’ monthly small plates evening returns with a Turkish BBQ theme. Expect a canapé on arrival followed by five carefully crafted plates including chicken kebabs, lamb ribs, aubergine baba ghanoush and more, rounded off with a sweet kunefe pudding.
Electric Bear Tap Takeover

Electric Bear celebrates ten years of brewing with a weekend showcase at RAD Beer. Six collaboration brews with the likes of Mikkeller, Baron, Pretty Decent Beer Co, Bullhouse, Drop Project and Åben will be pouring across the event.
Street food favourites The Pie-oneers will also be serving to complete the line-up.
Shropshire Real Ale Trail

Spend the day exploring some of Shropshire’s finest countryside pubs with the Real Ale Trail.
A dedicated bus service will ferry ticket holders between eight different venues, each serving a range of local brews.

The much-loved Secret Artist Sale returns to Soden Collection, following its break last year.
Hundreds of original artworks will be available for £50 each, with all proceeds supporting Alzheimer’s Society, Hive Shrewsbury and Grinshill Animal Rescue.
The sale has built a reputation for its community spirit and long queues, making it one of the town’s most anticipated creative events.

Shrewsbury Town Football Club ⚽
Shrewsbury Town have parted ways with director of football Micky Moore after two and a half years, following a difficult return to League Two.
The club’s start to the season has been disappointing, with a goalless draw at home to Bromley, a heavy 4-0 defeat at Tranmere, and a Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby.
The struggles continued yesterday as Colchester secured a 2-0 win. Samson Tovide opened the scoring just before the hour mark, calmly slotting home after a slick through ball.
The game tilted further in Colchester’s favor when Shrewsbury’s Tommy McDermott was sent off in the 66th minute. Kyreece Lisbie sealed the victory with a late close-range finish, giving the U’s their first win of the season.
