Shrewsbury Town suffered two painful away defeats that extended their poor run of form. A defensive collapse at Notts County resulted in a 4-1 hammering, with John Marquis providing the only bright spot by netting Town's consolation goal.
The agony continued at Swindon, where late heartbreak struck twice. Just when it seemed Callum Stewart's fortunate own goal had earned a valuable point, Billy Bodin crushed hopes with a stoppage-time winner for the hosts.
These results expose serious defensive frailties that manager Michael Appleton must address urgently. With confidence clearly fragile, Town desperately need to tighten up at the back and rediscover their fighting spirit to halt this worrying slide down the table.
