Pretty in Pink Opens on Milk Street
Western vintage fashion has arrived in Shrewsbury as Pretty in Pink: Born in the USA opens its fourth location on Milk Street.
Graham and his team are bringing an extensive collection of classic vintage denim and bold American-style pieces to town.
Beyond the clothing racks, the pop-up promises community engagement with plans for a charity fashion show and line dancing classes, adding a distinctive flavour to Shrewsbury's independent retail scene.

Horror at the Hive - Open Door Cinema Club
Open Door Cinema Club's Horror at the Hive season launches today with Jordan Peele's Nope - as featured in previous editions.
Looking ahead, the frights continue throughout October with a stellar lineup including the body-horror masterpiece The Fly and Ari Aster's unsettling Midsommar. Each screening takes place at The Hive with doors opening at 7:00pm and films starting at 7:30pm.
The experience goes beyond just watching - expect pre-film talks and lively discussions with fellow film fans. It's cinema as it's meant to be seen: on the big screen with a crowd.

Christmas Lights Switch On
Mark your calendars - Shrewsbury's Christmas Lights Switch On returns on Wednesday 19th November. The Square will once again host the official switch-on ceremony as Shrewsbury Town Council launches the festive countdown at 6:30pm.
Throughout the town centre, expect music and entertainment from 4:30pm onwards, creating a wonderful evening atmosphere for families and friends to enjoy together.
The Salopian Open Art Competition
Gateway Gallery has launched their bi-annual nationwide art competition, The Salopian Open. Artists working in any medium and theme can submit works up to A2 size, with the star prize being a solo exhibition.
Entry fees (£15 first entry, £5 additional) support SADAA arts' vital community outreach work.
The deadline for entries is 31st October, with works created in the last two years eligible. Full details available at gatewaygallery.co.uk/events/the-salopian-open.
